Cyndi Stands with Her Constituents

"Too often, decisions about the community are made without the voices of the people. This practice of non-inclusive decision-making needs to stop. Residents in the East should have a role in determining the outcome. Listening to the community will not delay the process It will bring true collaboration." - Cyndi Nguyen

ABOUT

Her work started in 1997 when she decided to return to New Orleans to be closer to both her parents and grandparents. She worked as a Social Service Coordinator for Versailles Arms Apartment which is a 400 unit affordable housing development.

She decided to start up a nonprofit organization to guide and transition marginalized communities into mainstream American society.

Her vision and mission was to create a space where people of different ethnicities and cultures could live and build a stronger community together.
