The Work I Plan To Continue

It has been my pleasure to serve as your District E City Councilwoman for the past three years. While we have faced many trials and challenges, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and major weather events, we are undauntingly moving forward.

Over the last three years, District E has had many notable successes in economic and community development. Many blighted district eyesores have been or are now in the process of being crucially transformed.

Learn more below about the work we've done and the work we plan to continue.

Over 20 Years of Community Service

When I moved back to New Orleans Pre-Katrina I wanted to come back home to be closer to my grandparents and community. I had a passion bubbling inside to be of service to my community. Its what was instilled in me by the Nuns who guided and impressed upon me to be a part of the change I want to see. My mother and father were always in my corner and taught me that family & community is what matters. So I started Viet camp to give  children and mothers the same support that my parents showed me time after time..

I remained dedicated to my community and was one of the first to come back to help my neighbors and friends when we found ourselves in a post Katrina devastation.  I was one of the staunch community leaders who organized to execute the Road Home in our community.
